Jostens Renaissance Conference Press Team
Students from Stockbridge High School traveled to the Breslin Center who possessed the qualities of a leader. I traveled to the Breslin Center as the press team for the event. Uncaged News team members were chosen by Jostens. We were given a list of requirements that we were then expected to provide. This was a first for me in terms of using my journalistic skills for someone else. While it seemed like a big undertaking, I did the best I could to photograph the thousands of students in attendance.
The enormity of the event made me feel small as I walked around. In hopes of capturing the large crowd, I went out of the way and did my best to take a panoramic sort of photo. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike Smith himself walked up behind me as I was taking the photo. He asked to see the shot, which I then showed him. I was given the confirmation and reassurance I needed when he told me what a great photo it was and asked me to make sure I sent it to his site when I got the chance.

Jostens One Day Summer Workshop 2016
In an attempt to get ahead of the game, members of the Panther yearbook met at the school over the summer with Jostens. As we had already solidified our theme for the new book, our task was to design the cover of the book. Myself, along with my co-editors, worked with a representative from Jostens and explained our design concepts and ideas for aesthetics.
MIPA One Day Workshop 2015
When our yearbook and newspaper teams go to the spring and fall conferences, I am always torn between choosing classes to help advance my skills in journalism or in yearbook. At this workshop, I worked with the editors where we learned ways to begin integrating new websites, like Trello and Slack.
